Providing snow removal services for commercial clients involves much more than just pushing snow.
When the ground freezes in New Hampshire, people tend to think excavation companies go into hibernation until the spring thaw. Not so with us! At Sarette Excavation, winter is very busy for us with the snow and ice management services that we provide to our commercial clients.
More than just snow plowing services. Providing snow removal services for commercial clients involves much more than just pushing snow when winter storms arrive. There is no doubt that snow is a nuisance, but the number one concern for our commercial clients is safety. For them, what’s required is snow and ice management. Companies in Manchester, for example, need their snow removal service to haul away snow piles that block visibility at the entrance of their parking lots and other key traffic spots. Melting and refreezing of snow piles can cause icing. Part of our snow and ice management program is to monitor and treat parking lots in between storms in order to prevent slips and falls. Our goal for all of our snow removal clients is dry pavement!
Green SnowPro certification. At Sarette Excavation, we are also concerned about the environment. Excessive salt use burns turf grass and affects the water quality of the lakes and streams in New Hampshire. All of our salt applicators are Green SnowPro certified contractors.
Green SnowPro certification is a voluntary program sponsored by the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services for snow removal contractors who wants to limit their salt use and explore environmentally friendly alternatives to snow and ice management. The course – which is provided by University of New Hampshire – covers important topics like equipment calibration, salt application rates with changing temperatures, anti-icing techniques, and environmental impacts of road salt along with education about environmentally-friendly salt alternatives.
At Sarette Excavation we believe in staying on the cutting edge of technology and equipment to provide better services and to better our world – one project at a time!
